With a Master's Degree in Health Care Administration and her Doctorate Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Dr. Heatherington was retained to perform a hospital reorganization. According to Dr. H (an abbreviation that has stuck over the years), "Everything that could go
wrong in a business entity did....from risk of losing Joint Commission Accreditation, negative cash flow, dissention among medical and allied health staff, to extremely low employee morale".
This first consult in 1988 provided the opportunity to apply financial, regulatory, organizational design and productivity management skills
which led to a successful outcome for this facility.
Since those early days, the diversity of our clients has expanded to include Government, Municipalities, Airlines, Banking, Communications, Emergency Response Personnel, Casino & Hospitality, Manufacturing, Refineries, Service Industry, Schools, Colleges, Universities, Public and Private Utilities, as well as Transportation. |

From our inception, HCG has placed an emphasis on keeping people safe and secure in the workplace. From our early days with the Healthcare Industry, we applied our knowledge of OSHA and Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards, and then expanded our expertise to Construction and General Industry.
HCG and our associates are members and strong supporters of the American Society of Safety Engineers, nationally and locally. |

As our world changed on September 11, HCG became even more involved in Homeland Security, Disaster Recovery, and Workplace Violence Prevention Programs. Dr. Heatherington has been recognized for her contribution to the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation by Jeff Mitchell, Ph.D., President of ICISF and
Representative to the United Nations. |
